After a catch up and some rowing demonstrations, some of the team held a best rower competition!
Sean started rowing back in 2008 after watching a BBC interview with Sir Steve Redgrave, who was at that time appealing for new talent to come forward in a bid to recruit a team for London 2012. Over 4,000 applied, and after assessments Sean was one of twenty to be selected for the world class training programme.
Since then, Sean has progressed up the ranks and is currently training in Scotland after securing a place with the Scottish squad. His next goal is to compete in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and then to make the Senior GB Squad.
Streamline’s sponsorship greatly assists Sean with funds to help maintain his new boat, attendance at training camps as well as covering the cost of new equipment.
A great morning was had by all the team at Hatston, with staff wishing Sean a very successful year ahead.
